Everyone had a great time on the Oriental Cruise hosted by Bill and Mary Paulson. There were seven boats who cruised to Oriental (Merry Heart, Tahiti, Forever Young, Cope’n, Tantrika, Kitty Higgins, and Waite to Sea) and a number of people drove down for various parts of the weekend. The Friday night cocktail party was followed by dinner at the Toucan Grill. After dinner everyone enjoyed Mary’s fabulous key lime pie. Saturday featured a short day of shopping, an early start to the cocktail party, and dinner at M&Ms. Bill presented the grand prize to Larry who won the Columbus day quiz (from memory). Tom presented a few awards no one can remember but the prizes were stunning as always. After dinner, more key lime pie was served aboard Merry Heart. The Neuse was a bit sloppy on the way back and Tahiti reported a wet windshield. The Pamlico River was calm for a nice finish to the cruise.
